Entrepreneur Education and Mentorship Program

Our Guidewire Catalyst Entrepreneur Education and Mentorship is a two part program consisting the Master Class and a Silicon Valley Immersion Experience. It has consistently been rated by our local and international customers to be highly useful and insightful, providing objective actionable insights into their businesses.

The Guidewire Catalyst MasterClass + FastTrac® program helps participants develop a clear, customer focused business strategy. It includes non-traditional, experiential learning with hands-on coaching and mentoring.  Opportunities to network and learn from peers, as well as the facilitators, business coach, and guest speakers—seasoned entrepreneurs and professionals who work with entrepreneurs—are a key part of the Master Class experience.

The Guidewire Catalyst Master Class is an intensive 5-day program that combines Guidewire’s expertise in assessing companies and preparing them international growth with the Kauffman FastTrac® Growth Venture™ program that provides a specific framework for business growth.  Both programs were written by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs and are now integrated into a single curriculum delivering the essential business information for growing a sustainable company.

The Master Class is designed to help the entrepreneur focus on key business challenges and identify opportunities to improve their overall business performance.  We cover marketing, positioning, branding, sales and distribution strategies, as well as differentiation and value, as perceived by the market.  Companies will create a strategic plan for expanding the footprint and market share of their business while receiving coaching for an effective pitch or presentation.   The Master Class + Kauffman FastTrac program features rich resources and course materials including workbooks, templates, toolkits, due diligence framework and a 90-day work plan.

Our Silicon Valley Immersion Experience brings the entrepreneurs to the valley on a 5 day intensive course that sees leading experts in legal, finance, sales marketing, PR and investment, share information on best practices for successful market expansion and the continued development of a sustainable business.

In addition to the structured courses held at Guidewire’s facility in Silicon Valley delivered by successful practitioners, the Immersion week explores leading Silicon Valley-based industry events, to help you quickly assess the competitive environment, while making valuable contacts that can become the foundation of your SiliconValley business network. You also get to participate in a roundtable discussion with international entrepreneurs, and have extensive business networking opportunities.

Guidewire provides a one-year membership for the startup teams at its offices in downtown Redwood City, California.  This membership includes:

• Full access and privileges at Guidewire offices.  The offices can function as a base for US customer, investor and partner meetings.  The facilities include conference rooms with floor-to-ceiling whiteboards, hot desks, printers/fax/scanners, Wi Fi, and kitchen facilities.  It is situated next to the CalTrain station and immediately adjacent to dozens of restaurants, clubs, theatres, and cafes.
